Held Hostage…
Recently a very well known author and church growth expert contact us regarding some concerns they are having with Hosting.
Their current webhosting provider is holding them hostage.
By placing their data into a non-open-source or a closed-source but available Content Management System – the author of the CMS they are using is able to hold them hostage and demand almost anything they want.
The author of the CMS has become a web provider – they have missed deadlines and provide no detailed explanaton in regards to the downtime they are experiencing
Ministries must stop locking themselves into projects which will allow them to be held hostage.
Businesses generally don’t make this mistake – so why do we do it in the church… ?
